Cost of fixing phone line for broadband?

Hi can someone give me an estimate on how much it would cost to fix a faulty phone line? Had Eir technician out today ( for Pure contract) who said that cable up to house is fine, but connection into the house is faulty- so a hole needs to be put in the wall and porch patio perimeter and a new line can be connected to the part working outside. Who should I call for this kind of work? An electrician?

Electrician or competent DIYer. Sometime the latter will take more care to route the new cable more discreetly, but this is a simple enough job for an electrician.
