Hi was wondering if anyone could give me a rough cost of dry lining for an old house , Its approx 150 years old , 300 square meteres and located in the midlands. Price would have to include removing rads ect... and reskimming the walls. basically an all in price inc vat.

The house is one i am seriously interested in buying (at the right price) so am trying to get a rough idea of costings , any help woud be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again

Thanks for that, yes i think dry lining is suitable, as its a period property external insulation wouldn't be suitable. Any idea of costings? Thanks for your help.

contact a local builder for dry-lining quote and then double the given figure to allow for suitable materials & time required for this 'period' property.

Low CO2 is right, you would need to carefully consider whether normal dry-lining is suitable for a period property and to ensure that materials used would be breathable.

imo dont buy an old property unless you have substantial capital held back for restoration and I mean fabric restoration not furnishings.
