recently purchased a 2nd hand semi in Carlow, built in 70s and in good nick. has an attached garage which had a bit of a botched job of a conversion done on it which I need to tidy up and complete properly.
We're looking to split the conversion in 2, creating an office for myself, knocking the back wall of it where there is an existing loo and creating a downstairs bathroom with shower, utility room and the aforementioned office
The only main construction work needed is to put a proper A sloping roof on the garage, new ceiling inside and (possibly) take up the existing floor which is wooden on joists and concrete below and relay the floor + some new partition walls
To do this, including plumbing and electrics I've been quoted €26k. This strikes us as a bit OTT but i'd appreciate some views on it
