What would it cost to put in new standard middle of road kitchen ,New carcass's ,integrated oven and fan, sink,
There would be 7 Doors on upper part and 5 doors on lower with 2 standard Drawer areas(1 for cutlery & 1 for pop n pans) Thinking budget max 5K

Any recommendations ?

With respect, you might as well have asked how long is a piece of string. The worktop - is it to be stone, slate, timber? What kind of sink do you want? Do you need a built in cooker with hob? Is the fridge to be built in along with a dishwasher etc etc? Have a chat with any salesperson in any kitchen provider. I did and nearly was talked into spending €15,000.00 with sliding shelves, corner units utilising every centimetre of space, upper units with drop-out shelves etc. I did the lot myself after for under €1500.00 but I should point out I cut some corners.

Also are you replacing a current kitchen with the exact same design in mind ? If so it would be cheaper I'd imagine.

Bog standard really ,only oven would be integrated . Nothing fancy going on.

If it's any help, I got something similar done by Cash-and-Carry Kitchens a couple of years ago. Price in or around 5k. Laminate worktop, high gloss doors. Very pleased with result. Lots of practical details like swing out corner unit and so on. Good quality and workmanship was spot on. (They outsource their fitting.)

Or you can go to a much fancier place and have your tummy tickled for two or three times the price. Your choice!

I don’t think it’s as simple as paying ‘two or three times the price to have your tummy tickled’. That’s a tad dismissive.

You can spend a little on a kitchen, or a lot.

But let’s not kid ourselves that the €5k one is the same as the more expensive one.

I have got a few quotes myself recently but am still awaiting more. Cash and Carry were lovely to deal with but assume that's just the luck of the draw with the particular advisor I'd say however they were on the expensive side for what I wanted, it was around 7k but more units than you are listing and no appliances. Pinning my hopes on a guy who can hopefully call in the next few weeks for a look.

indeed, there are a myriad of options for a kitchen, if you want chipboard carcasses and laminate doors and work tops you pay one price, you want solid wood hand painted everywhere with a belfast sink and marble/quartz work tops you pay a lot more.

Anyone have any great ideas where to source granite/quartz at a reasonable price. Will have a fairly big island, plus other counters, keen to put a list of Suppliers. Seems like granite or quartz counters can double or more the total cost of a kitchen, but also that they can be sourced separately to the kitchen provider.

absolutely , i was in a house not so long ago which was for sale and the kitchen was allegedly only two years old ? , quality was shockingly mediocre
