I am having Laminate floor layed on Thursday of this week. I have just had the ceiling freshly plastered in this room and I have the windows open permanently to dry the plasterwork out. Is it to soon to have the laminate floors put down - should I wait or go ahead and have the floor layed on Thursday?

Why not get all the painting and filling out of the way first?? I Dont really understand where your coming from with this one but it doesn't matter if you're a "tidy" painter.
No I'm more worried about the condensation from the ceiling - would it have any effect on the laminate floor. The walls I'm going to paint before the floor arrives - the ceiling I won't be able to paint until the plaster drys which could be a couple of weeks. It is more the moisture from the fresh plaster would that affect the laminate flooring?
It's often advised that any laminate is left for a while to acclimatise to the conditions of the room in which it is being laid - 48hrs maybe? I'm not sure. Not sure how critical this is either.
your ok to lay the floor now, it is only with a solid floor that you need to let it aclimatise, if you want to be sure you can get a dehumidifier from you local hire shop
The main thing you have to worry about with laminate flooring is the base. Is it going on a concrete floor or a timber subfloor. If it is a concrete floor, the concrete must be given adequate time to dry out before fitting laminate flooring
No there is already a wooden floor there so we are laying straight on wooden floor and putting acoustic underlay underneath. Thanks for the advice.
Bren36 just wondering with regard to the dehumidifier if I hired one of these would this dry out the plasterwork on ceiling quicker - plastering was finished on Saturaday and would like to paint the ceiling before floors go down.
