just back, all the family had a great time (smallies).

Stayed in a holiday park (caravan park with pool, bar, entertainment etc), Hendra near Newquay. Loads to do for families within easy driving distance e.g:

Dairyland Farm (pet zoo, loadza kiddies play areas areas, great museum)
Crealy Adventure Park (thrill rides park but loads for small kids too)
Eden Project -bit more for grown ups but a must see
Lands End - the tip of England, various exhibits, shows, shopping, food too
St. Ives/Padstow/Newquay/Falmouth - just a selection of the towns well worth a stroll around, beautiful harbours & beaches, nice shopping, good food etc.

At least as many other attractions we didnt get to (e.g. Tunnels Through Time, Lappa Valley, The Minack Theatre for a show)

For families with young kids I think its better than France (done that before as well). Will be back!

Yes, you takes your chances on the weather, but unless you get down a good bit south in France I'd say the weather profile compared to Brittany wouldnt be that different.

Also, with small kids, you dont want/need it to be too hot or sunny. Low 20's with occasional sun is grand.
