Does anyone have a corner sink unit or a corner hob? Just wondering, do you find them as convenient to use as conventional fittings. I'm helping someone to design a small kitchen and am trying to come up with the best way to use the space, any ideas welcome!

Thanks

a corner hob can work well in some l shape kitchens. just remember that on the straight an oven/hob take up 600mm, while in a corner take up 1050mm along each wall. beware also that you have enough space from corner to any windows etc to fit corner extractor, usually 900mm, i've also seen corner sinks in friends houses and they work fine also. it's all down to individual taste, and what fits!

I used a corner cooker unit on holiday & found it quite annoying being stuck in the corner! But as said before it's what ever takes your fancy - is it more expensive to get worktops fitted for a corner sink/cooker - I've a feeling it is - perhaps you should check it out?

We have a corner hob and find its great. Under the hob we have two draws that hold all our pots and pans and our double oven is at waist height, so there is no bending to get into it.

Ganleys in athlone have both corner sinks (with double or left or right draining boards). We were interested in them three years ago but ended up putting in a round basin seperate to the round drawing board. Each €90. BandQ since opening in athlone have these too. No problems being in the corner-just fitted into worktop, worktop meets in the 90 degree angle.
