copying a letter from brother printer to pc

I have a hard copy of a letter that I want to send by email.
Can someone tell me how to copy/scan it from a brother printer/copier
to my pc.Thanks

Open lid, place paper face down on the glass panel, press the "Scan" or "Start Copy" Buttton and respond to dialogues as it progresses. This assumes you have installed the software that came with the device.

Why is it only birds have these problems?

Go in to the printer section in your PC and see if you have installed this function.
If you have then you should have an icon for it somewhere.
Just click on the icon and the pc will do the rest.
