Hi,
I'm preparing a manuscript (using MS Works Word Processor, not MS WORD) with a view of saving it as a .prn file for sending it (either by email or CD) off to the publisher. I want to include some of the digital images in the manuscript - however, they're in .jpeg format, where the publisher wants them in .tif format. How can these images be converted (colour into black/white suitable for printing as paperback books).
Yep, and other programs. But what's a bit ironic is that the .tif format is less 'lossy' than the (compressed) .jpg format. If his originals are jpegs, it's a bit like asking him to convert a DivX .avi back up to 'raw' .avi — no gain in quality, just a heck of a bigger file size...
Many thanks for all your help, esp. the link to 'Scantips' - most informative.
Have found that it's possible to 'Save as' the images in .tif format, after all.
Cheers,
Allendog
