Convert Litres/100km to MPG

Was trying to convert litres per 100km to mpg and vise versa.
Does the following look right ?
MPG=284.13/litres per 100km
And Litres per 100km=284.13/MPG.

Very similar calculation both ways.

Use 282.481 as the function, its more accurate than 284.13.

If you use 1 mile = 1.60934 km, instead of 8/5, you get SparkRite's number which is more accurate. (To be even pickier, the third decimal place should round to 2 ... 282.4816).

It's exactly the same !
282 divided by one gives the other .
ie 282/mpg = litres per 100 km
And
282/L per 100 km = mpg

Thanks everyone, just looking at my vehicle's fuel costs and ownership costs and the advantages of maybe purchasing a newer more fuel efficient vehicle.
I didn't know how to convert from litres per 100km to mpg. It was nice to figure it out with a little help.
Have my own little spreadsheet done now for recording, measuring, and converting fuel consumption and fuel costs.
Nice to be able to figure and visualize these things for yourself.
