I will be 65 in october and have been informed i will not receive my pension due to pension changes until i am 66.I retired from work 3 years ago and sign on for credits once a year but am not receiving any payments,would i be entitled to any payment from october due to not receiving any pension until age 66
 
Just checked with the Citizens Advice Bureau, you just sign on for dole and they don't chase you
 
Yes but won't that be means tested, presume OP wouldn't be eligible or they would be getting it already.
 
Thanks for all the advice but it looks like i would be ruled out if means tested i had heard that people that would not received their pension due to pension changes could sign on but people have overlooked the means test,so if they have a company pension that would rule them out,some pensions are state integrated so as they will not receive pension until age 66 can their company pensions be reduced at 65
