I worked for 40 years and paid PRSI class A all during this time
I am now in class M and at 60 years with 5 to go to pension Will this affect my entitlement to a contributary pension

You need to sign on to keep in credit for your state pension whether you are claiming Jobseekers Benefit or not......your social welfare office will give you details on how to do this.
The State Contributory Pension is payable at 66 years now. There is a Transition Pension at the moment payable at 65 years but that is being discontinued from January 2014.
