If you have submitted a CV and are in a permanent role, if the contents of your CV are found to be inaccurate or false does the company have the right to terminate your employment. .e.g. if you said you were a guard for 4 years and this was actually 6 months would this nullify your contract.
If the company was happy with your work todate and this came to light inadvertently would they then be entitled to terminate your contract.
What does the contract of employment state in regard to disciplinary and termination matters? For what it's worth note that the qualifying period for unfair dismissals is 12 months (see [broken link removed]) so you can be let go without reason before that period has elapsed. On a more general point it's probably not a good idea to lie to an employer on your CV - especially if you would not like them to lie to you in relation to the job description etc. There are some interesting articles about CV lying .
