Contents insurance

Can anyone tell me if a lawn mower would be covered under accidental damage on house contents cover.

I was cutting the grass recently and hit the stump of a tree... it is beyond reasonable repair the guy told me.

Most shed contents are covered for theft but not accidental damage but you should check with your insurance co.

If this does turn out to be covered ... unless you have a really fancy/expensive lawnmower I would imagine that it would not be worth claiming for such a relatively small issue once the policy excess and any possible impact on future premiums with this insurer or on switching to another are taken into account.
