Content Management System

Can anybody recomend a Content Management System to use for a local community website. I would want the following:
* to be able to configure it, touch & feel
* allow users to maintain areas of the website such as notes, events etc.
* I would like to capture email addresses for broadcasts
* host a forum
* search the site
* archive old data
* online shop with shopping cart & invoicing facility
and loads more.....

You know yourself, nothing too fancy!

Preferrably an open source solution!

i've been messing about with Joomla - looks the business and appears to have a large community backing it - have a look at www.joomla.org

I second Joomla, its fantastic... Massive community behind it. Lots of nice templates. Help Forum very usefull. Hnudreds of mods and addons. I woudn't use anything else to design a site.
