contacting pfizer by email,correct address?

Would anyone know the correct email address for Pfizer in Dun laoghaire?
I have been on the website and when I click on contact us,the details are irrelevant.
I bought Calpol six plus and opened it today,the bottle was almost empty and had a really really strong smell of orange( I know its orange flavored) but this was exceptionaly strong.
I dont know if the lid was tampered with as I opened it without checking.I havnt used and wont use it.
I wanted to email pfizer whom are the distruibuters but am unable to get a correct email address,the one Ive found has bounced back.
Obviously I can phone them tommorow but would like to put all the information in an email rather than going through several people on the phone.

You'll be lucky if you get anything outta them, Pfizer is a disaster. If I were you, I'd send a letter through the post, registered of course.

But dont expect much.
 
Do you want to complain to Pfizer about the incident, or are you looking for a refund?

P.S. Their healthcare admin is in Citywest, not Dun Laoighaire (sterile plant AFAIK)

Presumably you bought this in a chemists and have a receipt? Why not ask them why there are problems with this product?

This is a product given to sick children ,the last thing on my mind is "getting something outta them".

I expect a company that sells medication for children to be made aware of a potential issue with a product,thats all, I expect people who may be aware of it ,to at least raise it with the company concerned.
I have neither a desire or need for the 3.50e refund.
Why would I want anything,when I didnt even give it to the child.
this imho is a potential health and safety issue not a refund or a get something out of them,pehaps Im taking you up wrong though.
But rest assured that the safety of the product is my ONLY concern...

I dont know why you would presume it was bought in a pharmacy?
I bought it in a supermarket.
The company that supplies it,should be made aware of a potential health and safety issue.espically with childrens medication,they are in a much better position to recall it if nessasary.but thanks for advice anyway...THats why I wanted to email them with all the information and batch number,just in case...

neither is my answer to the above,I just want to flag a potential issue that may or may not be a cause for concern.
I dont have anything to complain about as there was obviously something not quite right and obviously I didnt give it to the child,so no issue there,and Im fine for the 3.50.But not would hope that when a product has a potential health and safety issue that a member of the public would raise it with the company,as products,ie;faulty etc have been known to be recalled.
 
Sorry, when I said 'complain' I didn't mean to imply anything other than you wanted to contact them directly about the issue. Fair play to you for going to the trouble of doing so.

I just looked at the bottle again and there should be 70 mls in it, but there seems to be about 20 ml .
The bottle shows no sign of any leakage nor does the carton it came in or the leaflet inside it,Im raging that I didnt check the safety cap first,because if I had ,I wouldnt be as concerned.lesson learned! :)

Pharmacy, supermarket, whatever. You bought a product from a retail outlet, go back there and make you concerns known. The retailer will be in a better position to retrace the product through their supply chain than you are right now.
 
My post refererred to a reply thedaras, calm down.

A few years I had cause to get in contact with them and they were absolutly useless.

I never mentioned ANYTHING about a refund, I hadnt even thought of that.
 
Turns out its not pfizer,but Johnson & johnson...
Pfizer were very polite and put me through to customer services at J &J.
They will send out a prepaid envolope and I am to return the product,they will test it and send me the results.

In a better position perhaps. More likely to actually do so? I very much doubt it. If it is a large supermarket I would say not a chance. I think this would be supported by anybody who ever worked in one of the major multiples as a youngster.
 
Lesson learned to ALWAYS check the safety cap on medications. This is why they are there.
Well done though for following it up. Have you also gone back to where you bought it?
