Hi,
Sorry to be a bit vague but I'm not sure exactly what I would need to post here and would rather post too little information than too much.
I signed up for an evening course last year which is due to complete in June of this year.
There wasn't a detailed registration form for this course just provide contact details and payment.
The course curriculum was outlined in the brochure as in what topics would be covered. There were no real specifics as to what would be covered when, how it would be taught and by whom.
Anyway, as the course has gone on there have been a number of issues
Some disruption in the class, personality clashes between tutor and some students, last minute changes to the class content or classes abandoned , tutors disappearing never to be heard from again.
Individually and collectively the class have tried to raise their concerns with the course director. These communications have been ignored.
This is very frustrating as many of the issues could be resolved if the class were treated like adults and allowed to voice their concerns.
It has reached a point where it is a hostile learning environment so I have no real desire to continue with the course in its current format.
However, I don't wish to abandon it and penalise myself when the source of the issues is down to poor management.
As the course is essentially a service and there appears to be no avenue available to lodge a complaint is there anything I can do as a consumer to
formally complain?
I'm not looking for a refund or anything like that, just for the problems to be addressed so the course can run as expected through to completion.
