Hello all I started working for my employer in November 2002 in the construction industry he started paying a pension for me in August 2007 with the CWPS
My emploment did not end well with him in April of2012 (he will not pay redundecy) I am wondering should he have been paying pension contributions since 2002 and if so what redress have I

I think your first port of call should be the CWPS. I'm not terribly familiar with the details, but I thought that membership was compulsory for all employees covered by the Registered Employment Agreement (REA). But the CWPS people should be able to clarify this for you and advise on what you can do if your employer was in breach of the REA. As far as I know the REAs were legally-binding so you would probably complain to the Employment Appeals Tribunal.
