consolidating loan for credit card debt ?

i currently have a maxed out credit card and a personal loan with AIB
i would prefer to get rid of my c card and have one bank loan to pay off
would it be a good idea to get a second loan to pay off both or maybe increase the first loan enough to cover the c card debt ?

Could you transfer to a 0% rate credit card, stop using the card for purchases and then concentrate on clearing the free credit? See the Financial Best Buys forum for details of such CC offers. Be careful of getting into the habit of rolling debts into one and racking up more in the meantime. There are some good budgeting/debt management links and resources at the top of this forum.
