Conservatory Removal & Drainage

hi,
I removed a conservatory at the back of our house and am left with a concrete base, 10ft*8ft.The side walls (2 cavity blocks high) are in place on the base and we got these dashed, thinking that we could cap them and have a sort of patio. I removed the tiles and were going to deck over the concrete. However the rain at the weekend gathered up near the door and now I'm wondering if i should:

1. just remove the concrete base completely.
2. remove a few inches of concrete so that the door is above the level of the concrete.
3. put a trench in at the door, sloped to run off through the side wall

Anybody else ever done this?
