Hi there,
Just looking for a little outside insight as to wether you think i should have been denied a payment based on my partners means.
I am on the back to education alowance during term time, my boyfriends income was means tested at the end of term. He is self employed. The officer decided that he earned gross yearly income of 24,701 (475 euro p.w) he did not deduct any expenses, of which my partner has plenty e.g diesel,chainsaw maintenace etc.
I was told that as the amount he earned "exceeded the weekly rate of payment due for this scheme, that is 342.60" and that i did not qualify for a payment.
We have one child together.
