Condensation on outside of skylight

Just had a couple of skylights installed on extension to kitchen and there seems to be condensate on the outside of themin the mornings. Is this normal does anybody know?

Surely "condensation" on the outside of a window is simply actually precipitation of some sort? Or do you mean on the house side of the external pane of a double glazed unit? There should be no condensation between panes of a double (or triple etc.) glazed unit and if there is then the seal has been compromised and the window is not doing its job as far as insulation goes.

Yes probably so. There is no condensate either on the inside surface OR in between the double glazing so reckon it should be OK, sure I'll keep an eye on it.

Thanks.

Condensation on the outside is fine. Your DG unit should be cool on the outside and warm on the inside if functioning well. As the surface is cool and not vertical moist air will condense on it.
