Concrete brick/block wall and gravel

Hi,

I have a semi-detached house and I'm planning to build a concrete brick/block (donno the difference) wall about 10 feet length and 6 feet high for the side entrance. I have few questions to ask and would appreciate if you answer my questions as I'm very much new to this kind of job.

- Could somebody please suggest me where to buy concrete for foundation, mortar and bricks?
- Could somebody give me a rough idea how many bricks, mortar, concrete and whatelse do i need?
- What is the difference between concrete block and brick, which one do you suggest for a wall?
- I have loads of gravel in my back garden, how can I dispose it? would somebody take it for free?

No offence but based on the questions you are asking you should probably leave it to the professionals. An inappropriately constructed 6 foot high wall could be a serious health hazard!
