Con Email

I just logged onto an email account I hadn't used in a while and while deleting the various spam messages I received and email supposedly from the CIA telling me my IP address had been logged onto 30 illegal websites!There was an attachment which I didn't open but I'm wondering if anyone else had this before and what was it?
