Computer help referral needed.

I have a laptop and had a huge amount of pictures on it. I was told by the IT person at work to load them onto an external hard drive to speed the laptop up. The IT person said they would do it for me.

When I got home I discovered the photos were gone from the laptop and were not on the External Hard-drive.

Does anyone know a reliable shop that can retrieve the photos from the laptop?

Talk to the IT guy, they may not be gone.

They could be under a different logon profile for example.

If you suspect that they were deleted then DON'T use the laptop/hard disk at all until somebody can look into undeleting them. If you use the laptop/hard disk in the meantime then some or all of any deleted files could get clobbered permanently.
