HI ALL,
I am looking to get decking down in my back garden, nothing spectacular like the ones you see in the brochure just a standard platform with a step going down onto the main garden, approx 16ft by 16 ft and maybe a hand rail if they are not too expensive.
I have looked into the wooden & composite ones. I would be willing to pay a little extra to get the composite ones, purely to cut down on the maintenance. I understand the composite deck boards are NOT maintenance free (regardless of what some suppliers say) but compared to the wooden ones they have considerably less maintenance.
My question is: Could anyone suggest a vendor for supply and / or fit of this product. I was going to put a post on tradesmen.ie but some friends have told me it's got an over supply of post-boom out of work cowboy builders/carpenters, but i guess not everyone on the site can be, however for this i would like a registered / qualified guy as to make any changes to the home and willing to pay the VAT on this occasion for it.
I read some previous posts on this site about prices from 2007 so i guess if anyone had any experience with the composite decking, information on price, supply and fit - i would appreciate it.
Many Thanks.
Keith.
