Complicated medical history: declined twice for life assurance

Looking for some advice regarding life insurance. My Wife has been declined this twice on medical grounds. So, she's not got any terminal illness but her medical background is complicated, and requires medication probably for life.
I plan to check further but we suspect none of the specialists she see's have been contacted for advice by the insurance companies. For me this just shows we are up against a brick wall here. So my main point is, assume none of the main stream companies will insure my Wife are there specialist companies who will? Or can we get insurance from a company in another country?

Thanks in advance

Unlikely I would say. But if she has a specific condition where there is a Support Group for people with that condition, they might have some ideas.

Is the life cover for a specific purpose? For example if its for mortgage protection have you asked your lender about the possibility of having life cover waived for your wife? Could your wife pay premiums into a savings account and put it in trust for a beneficiary?

No its not a very common condition, to be honest you would know there was anything wrong with her.

Apart from the most obvious one, no. No problem getting a mortgage sorted out etc.... Just having known some people who've had some none illness related accidents, it gets you thinking.

Cheers

My consultant refuses to talk with insurance companies, even when a doctor of the insurance company is contacting him with my approval communicated to the hospital via phone and fax. Luckily I got life assurance waived, though it is a burden for me that my partner will be in financial problems if something happens to me.

I think if you are declined 3 times, you can ask to have it waived. Not applicable if you are over 50 - you can have it waived without having to prove you have been delcined.

You can ask but the lender is under no obligation to waive the normally mandatory reuquirement for owner occupier mortgage protection life assurance.
