compaq presario cq60 - broken screen

The screen on the laptop is cracked. Have got a quote of about 120 - 140 to replace. Any cheaper out there or if I could get a screen could get someone to fit for me for free.

You should be able to pick up a screen for about €70/80 on ebay etc and afaik its not a big job to fit it. Not sure if I would tackle it myself though.

You could search on youtube ..'how to replace laptop screen' and see how its done.

If your laptop is not very high speck and over 3yrs old I would be thinking of putting the €140 towards a new one. There are some good deals out there for under €400.

The CQ60's are not the easiest screen to replace. You have to do quite a lot of disassembly.
