Hi,

Is there any requirement for the contents of a company stamp? Does it need to include VAT number, Reg number etc?
Thanks,
j

No, I don't think so.

But you will presumably be getting the stamp made at a specialist shop and they would know.

Co stamp

Doing through a service 0n-line. Our address is quite big and I am not sure if I should include VAT reg number etc. I'm afraid it will clutter the stamp

From CRO.ie

Company Seal
Every company must have its name engraved in legible characters on its seal. The company secretary is frequently given responsibility in practice for the safekeeping of the company's seal.

Official company seals (circular engraved) only ever show the company name around the edge with the CRO number across the centre.

Company stamps ( rubber type for stamping documents ) should, for clarity, at least show the company name, address, telephone and CRO number.

I had a company set up by a firm of accountants recently. The seal they sent me doesn't show the company number, just the company name.

Apologies, I have just looked at several and while one does indeed show the company name around the edge with the CRO number across the centre, all the others just show the company name with the word "limited" across the centre.

I think I just might go with Company name, Department, VAT#, and Company reg #. We might move to a new location next year. I would be able to keep the stamp. Though they are not that expensive

Thanks for all your comments. Your feedback is always appreciated
