Hi

Does anyone know where this should be kept? Should the company's solicitor have it, or would the director/co. secretary keep it?

Thanks

Completely depends.

We (solicitors) keep seals for several clients. Some keep theirs.

Just remember where it is!

It should be kept along with the Statutory Books of the Company
1. Company Register
2. Any minute books/share transfer forms, etc.
3. Original Certificate of Incorporation
4. Original Memorandum & Articles of Association

Some of our clients leave theirs with their Solicitor, but once they are kept somewhere safe, its fine.

I would advise keeping it in the office. These days it seems to be used much more often than in the past, so I suggest you keep it handy.
