Hi there
I am self-employed for the last 14 years and have now had an opportunity to apply for a contract in a large multi-national. Those in the know have advised me not to submit my CV (the normal structure) as this could highlight some of my weaker points and instead do a company profile ID'ing the different projects and customers I worked with and tailor some of the tasks.
Now,I am excellent on CV structuring but was thrown by this piece of advice. Can anyone help? From the job spec, I know I am more than capable of performing the tasks requried but am worried that my submission will not display this.
Another concern I have is that I am out of the lingo.. Have none of the buzzwords and terminology will I sound inexperienced and dated?
What I would love is an example of a comapny profile of small, self-employed individual or a websire that may assist.
Would value any feedback as I really need this contract.
Many thanks
