Commuter Travel - TaxSaver - on ROS

Hi
I started my job up in Dublin a year ago, on the 28th of the month. The first few days, I bought a return train ticket, then the following month, I had to pay for my monthly commuter ticket myself, as I had missed the deadline for ordering it that month through work.

Subsequent months, it has come out of my salary pre-tax.

Is there any way I can reclaim the tax for the monthly ticket, plus a the initial few days?

Do I do it on the ROS site?
Cant see where though.
Or through my employer?
Or nothing I can do?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

AFAIK, you can only get the tax benefit by subscribing through your employer, so you can't claim back the 1st month when you purchased the ticket yourself.

Yes, cinders is correct. Your company must participate in the tax saver scheme for you to be eligible to buy the taxsavers tickets. So - if you have ordered the ticket through your company facilities, your salary deduction will reflect the tax savings that you are making by buying a taxsaver ticket.
