Commerzbank - Opening a savings account

Hi
I was just wonderng if anyone has had any dealings with Commerzbank in Germany. I am currently in the process of opening a savings account with them. The process seems straight forward and I do not have to travel to Germany. Just email scan of passport and arrange appointment with Dublin branch to verify passport. In the meantime the german branch are to send out forms for me to sign. Has anyone been through this process with Commerzbank and if so how have you found them?

While they are one of Germany's biggest banks you should also keep in mind that they are one of Germany's weakest banks.

I recently opened a bank account in Aachen with Deutsche Bank without travelling there.

It was very straight forward. I emailed them first and got reply from English speaking lady there. She had excellent English and was very friendly and efficient.
