I have just had my newly refurbished office premises assessed for commercial rates by the Valuation office. I have 28 days to make representations that it is excessive. Has anyone any ideas or success in reducing their valuation. It is a small premises approx 1200 sq ft.
 
You could ask a valuer who will usually charge you a flat fee and then a percentage of one year's savings.

Or they might look at it for you and tell you that it is fair enough.
