We opened a new business just over a year ago, when we asked how much rates we would have to pay the landlord told us the building had not been assessed yet as it was a new build. We had looked at a building just down the road although older it was closer to the city center, the same sqm and along a main road. The rates were in the region of €10,000.Our building was assessed a couple of weeks ago and we recieved a demand last week which works out at over €23,000.
Where is the justification for such a difference,is there someone who can act on my behalf to appeal this?
