commercial jeep VAT refund

I have a commercial jeep that I bought in January, I registered it in my company name that I just set-up but as I have yet to start trading I have not yet claimed back the VAT. I am thinking of selling the jeep at the moment is there anything I can do to get the VAT back, could I sell it privately incl. VAT and give the new owner my VAT receipt and let them claim the VAT back or is there any other solution

Is the company VAT registered? If so claim the VAT back in the company's next bi-monthly VAT return. If you sell the jeep you will have to charge VAT on the sale.
