Commercial Finance Abroad. Any Experience?

Has anyone obtained or know where to access funds abroad? I have been to London to meet an intermediary who promised funds in order to clear existing bank borrowings. Pure scam from start to finish. However I know there are some genuine investment funds out there who would look at viable projects in Europe etc. Finding them is the tricky part.
Has anyone had any luck?
I am meeting a guy next week who is close to obtaining finance for overseas commercial property. But in the meantime I would appreciate any pointers or examples of people who have experienced this

Are you talking about who will still loan for commercial projects in Europe? If so then there are a few options although their criteria have tightened up over the last 6 months.

Ancutza, if you could direct me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. I know of some options already, but as you said extremely difficult to obtain any level of funding.

You could look at ING. They are, as far as I'm informed, lending at the moment but they are into partnerships whereby they have a controlling share and it's fixed to sell onto ING Investments. That's secondhand information from an associate of mine who is friends with one of their directors in Bucharest. Can't vouch for the veracity of the information.

They aren't interested in residential developments as far as I'm led to believe.

Take it with a goodly pinch of salt!

Thanks Ancutza. Its worth trying. Been to London and met scam artists, so we'll see how it goes

You might also look at Piraeus the Greek crowd. A friend of mine is a regional manager in Romania and she says that, after 6 months of complete lock-down, they are also back in the market as of mid March.

Bear in mind all of this relates to where I am (i.e. Romania) and may not /probably does not travel. Things here are different to over there be it Dublin or London.
