coming from dublin port to N7

going on holidays to Wales next week. ferry is coming back through Dublin Port. Could somebody give directions on how to get from Dublin Port to the N7. Do i need to use Port Tunnel or city centre route
Any advised would be gratefully appreciated

Hi Vectra

If it was me, I would go through the tunnel and around the M50.

If it is outside the hours of 16.00 to 19.00 Monday to friday, the toll is €3 and then another €2 to €3 on the M50 toll bridge.

This should be a lot quicker than going through town, especially if you are not sure of the route.
 
thanks for reply. is the port tunnel straight forward to go through. i know i sound very stupid. from the middle of the county!!!!don't get out often.

It's well signposted as you come out of the port. The entrance is about 100 yards from the port.

Going northbound, you will pay the toll on the way into the tunnel.
 
hi vectra, yes the tunnel is easy and if you are unsure then defo best way to go, you go through the tunnel then when you come out you will be staying in the most left lane so you can take the 1st slip road off which is for M5O Southbound then you travel along the M50 until you get to the N7 exit.
