Colthurst - Lucan

Hi all, just looking at buying a house in Colthurst, What do people think of the area? Any feedback at all is welcome, what are neighbours like, is there many rentals, how long does it take to get to the city centre by bus and also driving? or if you have any general information/advice about living in lucan and the general area?

You will find plenty of posts on here about Lucan, if i were buying would you not consider buying closer to where the Luas is going to come into Lucan?

Colthurst - okish - fair few rentals - would think traffic is awkward enough - know someone who bought from new, not there anymore, a lot of the people who moved in initially rented theirs out.
 
Rang the RPA regarding Luas line. Should be making an announcment in early - mid October on emerging preferred route, then have to go to consultation on it...will be one of either of two current routes with some tweaking ....

Anyone know when they are announcing the route? Or if it is to go ahead at all now?
