Went to see coldplay last night. Great gig, the lads were on fire. Great sound and Lighting. Elbow, the supporting act get my vote two. Watch out for them. Drove up from the southern capital, great road now, bypassed Abbeyleix and parked by the red cow and got the Luas into Heuston. Forty minutes of a walk got us to the stage. Plenty of the usual paraletic drunks (many young women) but that's the norm at outdoor irish gigs. Left the show just before the end and on the way out received a free live coldplay cd. Nice touch. Back home and under the quilt by 2.45. Phoenix park is the best outdoor concert venue compared to either Slane or that quagmyre in Punchestown. It's a pity that us southerners have to travel up to the big smoke or that surrounding area for all the big outdoor gigs. In the past U2, Michael Jackson, Prince, Oasis etc have payed in cork but no more. Pity. Viva la Vida!! Brilliant

Good show alright - somehow missed the free CD on the way out. Did you exit to the right or left hand side of the stage? Didn't notice them on the right hand exit
