college fees and grants

My son will be going to college in dublin next year to do an IT degree. Ive done some searching but havent been able to find much information on grants & college fees and things have changed since my time.
It looks like he can pick and choose any of the dublin colleges as IT courses are quite low points for entry.
Im wondering what I can expect to have to pay in course fees & what grants are available. for example I would not like to have to pay 10k a year and get no grant if he went to trinity if he can go to say kevin st and get a grant etc. any info appreciated!
 
There have been lots of posts on this before; please use the search function before opening a new one. If it's his first undergraduate degree and he's an EU citizen who's lived in the EU for three of the last five years, he won't have to pay any fees. See here for basic info.
