Collective Redundancy : Selection Criteria

Hi,

The company I work for is in a Collective redunndancy situation.
More than 50% of the workforce to be be made redundant.

We have received the selction criteria.

It seems that the selection criteria will be used looking at the new organisation that they want.

Should the selection criteria be applied to the existing organisation not the new.

Once the selection criteria is fair it is okay. You will need to be more specific though on what the criteria is.

From a management perspective, it makes sense to look at the new organisation, as otherwise there may be capability gaps in key roles.

I don't understand what this means. What is the 'new organisation'?
