collecting payments

Hi, Im wondering if anyone is able to advise. I currently collect my payments from social welfare and commuinty welfare in the post office, I am just wondering if it is possible to change so they are paid directly into my bank account instead. Do i need to just go to the respective offices and ask there or is there a form i need to fill in before hand?
