Coin dropped into air vent...damage fan?

One of my kids dropped a coin into an air vent in my car. I can't get it out and its rattling around at the moment. Is it possible that this coin could drop into a fan and cause some damage down there? To remove the coin would I need to get the dash removed? Thanks. (The car is an 06 Passat)

Usually you can just pop the vent out and fish it out that way. If not dependes what vent and you might only have to remove a panel or two to get at the duct. Should not have to remove the dash.

Coins get into mad places, I've seen radio's catch fire and wiring scortch, it's best not to have it in there, I'd fish it out if I was you.
