The battery in my car was disconnected, now car stereo is asking for a code. I bought the car from a private seller and he doesn't have the code, does anyone have any suggestions where I could get code? It's a phillip's stereo. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
 
Was in that situation myself and got in contact with the garage from which the car was bought from when it was new, who told me the code over the phone, Also if you don't know the original garage, any main dealer for your make of car should be able to get the code for you, I believe they charge a €20 service fee for this.
 
you can get codes free on the 'net
a bit if googling will help you
you may be suprised to find that the same models of stereo all have the same code or at least a master code
makes you wonder why they bother?
