looking at the golf 1.9 tdi 105bhp,apparently in uk they have one called emotion,it has a co2 of 119grms.have we,got a similar one ,as the vrt and road tax would be pretty good on such a car.
 
1.9 is an ancient engine. Rattly and unrefined. You can do much better.

There doesn't appear to be an equivalent to the Bluemotion S model on the Irish VW website at the moment.

The UK specification differs from the 105bhp engine available here in having a Diesel Particulate Filter, DPF, fitted and I find it hard to believe that VW won't bring this in here before July. The emissions figures are impressively low compared to some of their smaller newer technology common-rail diesel engines.
 
thats good info,maybe there are some vw people out there who have more info on introducing this engin here.
