Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help me. I am currently on Lone Parents payment and myself and partner want to move in together. When we do so and I go onto Jobseekers allowance what will our entitlments be?? He is on jobseekers allowance too and we have one child..Also will I still get my Own payment or will he get both of ours..I have looked on Social welfare site and dont understand what payment we will be entitled to..I am also starting a Vtos course in September, wat way will our payments work then???Thank you
 
He can claim you as a dependent on his JA. If you are available for and looking for work, you could claim JA in your own right, but the overall payment will be the same. The spouse/partner of a person in receipt of JA/JB which includes an increase for the spouse/partner can join a VTOS course.
