I'm about to travel to Argeles in France (Languedoc Rousillon) to find a 3 or 4 bed house which I will rent to holidaymakers for June/July/August every year. Luckily I have a good friend who lives nearby to do the management. However, I am slightly worried that (a) Holidaymakers from the UK will stay away due to the weak value of Sterling, and (b) the era
of cheap travel is coming to an end due to high oil prices.
My main reason for investing is to get rental income - I'm not concerned about capital appreciation. However, I have heard that house prices in the South of France are starting to fall. Maybe I should wait a bit ???
Any advices from you property experts !!! ???
