I’ve an account with mkb as I have a rental property in Budapest. However , for the last year or so, I’ve used revolut for all my transactions. Rental income is paid in to my revolut , letting agent fees paid from it , Hungary tax payments etc. I find it so much easier , the exchange rates are good and of course the convenience is marvellous.
I’m now wondering is there any point in keeping the Hungarian bank account at all? I can’t think of any and as there are a few downsides such as the account has charges etc. i am tempted to close it.
However before I do so does anyone know why it could be beneficial to hold on to it. ?
