Hi folks,

My wife and I are looking to buy a new home and like the Kimmage / crumlin area. theres a few houses for sale at the crumlin end of clonard rd but the houses at the opposite end seem nicer. Down near Poddle Park seems particularly nice. 2 questions - are they expensive down that end and what sort of an area is it

cheers

Re: Clonard Rd,

Hi

I grew up on the Poddle Park end of Clonard Rd (ages 11 - 21) and there was very little problems there and it was fairly quiet as there was number of elderly people living along the Poodle Park end. My parents moved away from there about 2 yrs ago mainly because there was a large number of gangs hanging around outside the factories drinking etc. There was a lot of noise at night, cars being damaged and they were quite intimidating. I'm not sure if that situation has improved with the gangs. I also have relations living in Poodle Close and there have been some problems there. You will really need to drive around there at night to see what the situation is like there now.

There are some really nice houses along there and the location is great.
